Spectacular Social Connections 10 in Canada

in Events, panagenda news

soccnx-logoSocial Connections 10 took place from June 6 – 7, 2016 in Canada and the atmosphere was amazing! We not only had the honor to be there, we were the Spotlight sponsor. Over 200 people attended the conference and 70 IBM Connections experts shared their knowledge on stage, including four sessions by panagendians.

While we were there we demoed our latest product — ConnectionsExpert — in front of an enthusiastic audience. We would like to thank every single attendee for the spectacular and successful launch of our newest panagenda solution!

We are also excited about our alliance with Infoware, who are well-known for their IBM Connections content and user management solution: Domain Patrol Social.

Our panagendians, Christoph Stöttner, Francie Tanner, Femke Goedhart, Franz Walder and Nico Meisenzahl shared their Expertise in four different sessions.

There are many areas where you need different debugging skills. We will cover backend like DB2, TDI, SSO and some IBM integrations like Docs, CCM, Cognos or Forms Experience Builder. Of course we will cover Connections itself, too.

You will also get some helpful best practises which will help you within your daily work.

Best and worst practices deploying IBM Connections

Presenter: Christoph Stöttner & Nico Meisenzahl

Depending on deployment size, operating system and security considerations you have different options to configure IBM Connections. This session will show good and bad examples on how to do it from multiple customer deployments. We will describe things we found and how you can optimize your systems. Main topics include simple (documented) tasks that should be applied, missing documentation, automated user synchronization, TDI solutions and user synchronization, performance tuning, security optimizing and planning Single Sign On for mail, IBM Sametime and SPNEGO. This is valuable information that will help you to be successful in your next IBM Connections deployment project.

Man versus Machine – A Story About Embracing Innovation

Presenter: Femke Goedhart & Francie Tanner

Technology and innovation impacts every industry, line of business and profession in ways we could not imagine even 50 years ago. While IT is meant to make things more efficient, the pace of IT evolution makes it hard to think of the future as being “easier”. History shows that companies which are unable to innovate are driven out of the market, which leaves adoption as a central key to dealing with that new social platform, CRM and other innovation. But how do you get people to embrace change? Some people claim that adoption is a purely human affair where it’s all about people, while others believe that adoption should be technology driven and enforced in an automated way. Join Femke Goedhart and Francie Tanner and learn all about adoption tools, methods and strategies that will help you make any new deployment a measurable success.
