A new GreenLight sensor will soon see the light of day!

in Blog, Products

GreenLight 3.1 is about to be released and along with it a powerful new sensor type. Its name? “Microsoft Powershell”, making it possible to trigger three different cmdlet types:

  • Default cmdlets of a Windows Host (exchange, sharepoint)
  • Custom cmdlets
  • Office365 cmdlets

The idea behind this is that you can use the GreenLight framework to run Powershell scripts against your on-premises Windows environment or against your Office365 environment. With  this new possibility you can dive even further into your Microsoft setup.

Below I have featured two of potentially hundreds of examples:

Exchange Cmdlet: Test-Mailflow

To check the mailflow on an on-premises Exchange server

Result:

Office 365 Cmdlets: Get-StaleMailboxReport

To check how many of my O365 mailboxes have not been used for more than 90 days
