#panagendaPride – Terri Warren

in panagenda Team

Welcome to my series #panagedaPride published every Friday to feature members of our team that despite their highly professional demeanor also have awesome personalities. Today it is my pleasure to introduce Terri to you!

  1. What’s your name and what exactly do you do with panagenda?
My name is Terri and my role as a technical consultant is to help customers identify their needs and discover the benefits of panagenda’s innovative solutions, to build customer relationships based on trust, honesty and integrity and to ensure that the customers’ requirements are met by partnering with them (as Buzz Lightyear says) “To infinity and beyond!”
  2. What do you consider the greatest invention EVER!?!?
Duct tape! “There are no problems only solutions– provided by duct tape!” From duct taping my laptop bag or wallet to fixing my furnace, duct tape makes everything right in the world 🙂 And there are so many colors including caution yellow and bright pink. A handy accessory for any evening out!
  3. What would you do if you had no electricity for three days?
Ahhhh.. In December of 2008 an ice storm left much of New England without power for 2 weeks. It was 28 degrees (-2 C). Board games! Monopoly, Scrabble (using only “warm” words) and Risk. And of course, keeping the pipes from freezing 🙂
  4. What was the best advice you ever received?
Early in my career at IBM my boss at the time would often quote technology movers and shakers… (yes, we were all geeks) and the advice he shared with me was a quote from Mark Zuckerberg. “The biggest risk is not taking any risk… In a world that’s changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.” The point made more succinctly by one of my ice hockey heroes: Wayne Gretsky (“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”) still resonates with me today.
  5. Who would win the battle: Master Yoda vs Hulk and why?
Oh, definitely Yoda. Brains over size every time. Besides, how could someone who trained 800 years to be a Jedi and possess “the deepest commitment, the most serious mind” not win?? Feel the Force Luke!
