Session: Kubernetes Basics for Connections Admins

Over seven years ago Evonik started their own journey with IBM Connections. New use cases impacting the business keep emerging every day. The emphasis on innovation through organising ideation jams, on influencing use behaviours through an open knowledge sharing culture across teams & online communities has made Evonik`s employees familiar with a people centric collaboration approach where knowledge shared *is* power.

And this year it’s no different with the Evonik Spirit Initiative held in April with the goal to engage Evonik`s employees in shaping the company’s new core values.

Join us in this session where you will learn with Rainer Gimbel (Evonik) and Luis Suarez (panagenda) about the impact of professional community management to the overall success of ESNs and the possibilities to measure and evaluate their health and maturity. You will also learn about the overall business value, inspiring use cases and lessons learned so far from such transformation process.

Session: How to Engage 12,000 Colleagues in Online Ideation @Evonik

Going cloud, migration, GDPR, compliance…. All topics which touch on the same question: How do you do community management for IBM Connections? From getting insight into what’s there, to how it’s being managed as well as to how to take measures to get things to change. What does IBM Connections offer you for this and what other options are out there? This interactive session goes into what things customers are working on to tackle these topics. We will discuss existing use cases at various customers, what the options are and what your organization is doing about it. So this won’t be just a session to listen but also a session to actively participate in discussing the problems you face and the solutions you’ve found to tackle them. Sharing and learning from others who face the same challenges you do at a daily basis.

Session: Shining a light on the dark side of community management

It is not a surprise to see how 12 years later since HCL Connections came together as a product it continues to thrive in today’s digital workplace. In the midst of the current rage around cloud-based productivity tools, HCL Connections still is one of the most powerful Enterprise Social Networking platforms out there. Have you ever wondered why? x000D x000D In this session you’ll learn plenty more about makes HCL Connections tick within organisations for so long and still going strong. You’ll come out out of it with a whole new set of value propositions that will help your own organisation understand why it’s the de facto ESN to realise and maximise your Digital Transformation journey. In a nutshell, you’ll learn about the unprecedented potential HCL Connections has to help you transform not only how you collaborate and share your work, but also how you can help transform your business into a Social Business. Not tomorrow. Today.

Session: Why HCL Connections continues to thrive in the midst of a cloud-based productivity tools landscape

After ten years of IBM Connections installations at a variety of different customers, environments and operating systems, I have seen and bypassed far too many exceptions and special settings inside and outside of Connections. In this session, you will see the funniest and most bizarre things that are responsible for at least part of my gray hair. I’ll show you some pitfalls that should be avoided during installation and configuration.
