For a high-level overview of all changes, please take a look the main document for this release: MarvelClient 14.5 |
Releases in reverse chronological order:
FIX | Fixed a problem where a "*.ini & Variables" action that targets ".ini file without section" would fail if the entry name contained a / character |
---|
FIX | Fixed a problem where users would get a messagebox with "An unsupported cryptographic operation was requested" when the login dialog was presented if all of the following conditions are true:
In this situation the client would close when the messagebox was dismissed, but if the client was reopened the error did not occur and login proceeded normally. Customers who use older Notes clients were not affected. |
---|---|
ENHANCEMENT | Added detection of MacOS 26 (Tahoe) for Analyze DB reporting |
FIX | Fixed a problem where users get a messagebox with error #02:D5 when launching the Open Database dialog, and the dialog would be empty for local databases if all of the following conditions are true:
This could have other side effects too, including unusual local replica behavior and #02:D5 error messages in the console log during Notes client startup. Customers who match all of the above conditions are strongly encouraged to update to MarvelClient version 14.5.6 or later. |
---|
NEW | New action to globally enable or disable the "Group By Date" option in a user's mail file. This changes both the default setting for newly opened folders/views, and also the behavior of folders/views that have already been opened. Requires template 20250819 or higher. |
---|
ENHANCEMENT | New experimental option to roam Admin client bookmarks when using MarvelClient roaming. Please contact panagenda support if you would like information about how to enable this functionality. |
---|---|
ENHANCEMENT | Better error messages when an XML parsing error occurs |
FIX | Fixed a problem where actions containing multibyte characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane might fail to run on non-Windows platforms due to parsing errors |
FIX | Fix for error "KFM::Certificate::Certificate: unsupported size" running an XML keyfile action on a Notes 14.5 client |
FIX | Fixed a problem where the signature on the MarvelClient dylib for MacOS was invalid, this was caused by a change in behavior in an update to XCode. This does not affect Essentials, and MarvelClient functionality continued to work even with the invalid signature. |
---|
FIX | Fixed a problem where Windows 64-bit clients using NFL were not processing MarvelClient AfterLogin events, this was caused by the 64-bit NFL change in 14.5.1 |
---|
ENHANCEMENT | MarvelClient relocator is now supported on Win64 Notes clients, previously the support was limited to Win32 |
---|---|
ENHANCEMENT | If MarvelClient Roaming detects the need to download an ID file from the IDVault, it can now check for the IDVault on clustered servers if the mail server is unreachable |
ENHANCEMENT | The experimental option to delay template updates when MarvelClient roaming is used (from 14.0.4) is now generally available, using the notes.ini parameter MC_Setup_RunTemplateUpgradeOnce. Please contact panagenda consulting for details, if you feel that you need this functionality. |
ENHANCEMENT | The abortnoteslaunch action now works properly with a runtype of AfterLogin when a customer is using the MC_SyncAfterLogin setting |
ENHANCEMENT | Added detection of new Mac Studio and new MacBook Air for Analyze DB reporting |
CHANGE | Progress bar at shutdown is no longer supported on MacOS clients running in Basic mode (this is still a supported option for clients running in Standard mode, which is normally how customers use Notes on Mac) |
CHANGE / FIX | Better error handling on Windows if the geolocation action fails because location services are disabled |
FIX | Fixed a problem where roaming using Notes Federated Login (NFL) on a 64-bit Windows client using non-English dictionaries would result in spellcheck not working at initial setup unless the user manually switched dictionaries (subsequent starts after setup were fine) |
FIX | Fixed a problem where the log.xml file on MacOS could end slightly early, before shutdown was complete |
FIX | Removed excessive "could not convert timedate to string" log messages at high log levels |
NEW | Initial release of 14.5.0 Essentials, included with the HCL Notes 14.5.0 client |
