Major Improvements: Fixed a problem with audit document showing "up-to-date" status but not properly reflecting last uploaded attachments, improved audit agent performance, added an option to also process location documents in mass changes, added icon source override option to desktop icon actions

General Notes

Supported IBM Lotus Notes releases: 5.x, 6.x, 7.x, 8.x, up to 8.5.3 (Administrators need at least IBM Lotus Notes 7.x on Windows or Linux)
Supported client-side operating systems: Microsoft Windows NT4 (>=SP2), 2000, XP, 2003, 2008, Vista, 7, and Citrix/WTS, Apple Intel Mac OS X Leopard & Lion, Linux
Supported server-side operating systems: any supported by IBM (operating system independent)
NOTE: Support is limited for platform and release combinations not supported by IBM
Linux & Mac OS X: Skinning, Realtime, Zip/Unzip and Attachment Blocking are not available on Linux or Mac OS X;
Citrix, Linux & Mac OS X: the MarvelClient Upgrade module is only available on Windows (=not on Citrix, Linux or Mac OS X)
MarvelClient on Mac OS X and Linux does not support the runtypes "After Login - Before Sync", "After Login - After Write" and "On first server access" - any such actions must be set to run at a different supported runtype, e.g. "After Login"

Configuration Database

FIXFixed a labelling issue in the ID File Settings action (mixed german and english text)
ENHANCEMENTAdded an option to mass changes (MC Migrate) to also process location documents. This is ideal for mail moves, where location documents for delegates also need to be changed along (requires DLL >= 2.6.0)
ENHANCEMENTAdded create Filesize definition/filename pattern/fingerprint buttons to the When tab of File Restrictions for MC Attachment Blocking
ENHANCEMENTAdded an option for desktop icon actions to specfiy a different icon image source to the Desktop Options tab.

This allows customers that use unresovable references for the servername (e.g. <user:appserver>) to specify a different icon source from which the desktop icon shall be inhaled when saving the desktop icon action.
It also helps for when administrators have non-standard mail file icons, for example.

Analyze Database

FIXFixed a problem with documents showing "audited=yes" but not reflecting the most recent document state; this problem occured in replicated environments, where e.g. a hub server runs scheduled audits and before documents have replicated back to mail servers, end users also updated the documents. Due to "merge replication conflicts" being set to "3" by MarvelClient, the document were merged, where the attachments held the user updates, but the "audited=yes" flag was set to 1 in many cases (not all).
ENHANCEMENTWhen processing (more than just "one or two") documents, the audit agent is now up to 30% faster
CHANGE / ENHANCEMENTThe view Lotus Notes\Runtime Analysis has been changed / enhanced as follows:
1.) runtimes after login that are not from after before login (see next enhancement NOTE for more details) are enclosed in round brackets (and made negative values for proper sorting);
in essence any such runtimes are not representative until updated during on first server access or shutdown
2.) if the runtime after login is not representative, the total Notes, total MC and MC+Notes runtimes are also made negative values)
3.) the columns also hold average runtimes as per column in the very bottom of the view
ENHANCEMENTOn the Lotus Notes tab of main user documents, all runtime details (Windows only) and latency details are now displayed:

NOTE that the duration after login will be pre- and postfixed with three asterisks (***) if the time for after login is not from after before login -
this can happen if performance data is uploaded after login and at shutdown; after login there is no after login performance measurement yet, but the document might still contain details from last shutdown.
The visual enhancement allows to easily determine that the after login measurement does not belong to the last attached config.xml
ENHANCEMENT
ENHANCEMENTThe HW/SW inventory (Windows only) agent has been enhanced to also determine the computer manufacturer, model and version; if used, it will populate the information on the OS / HW tab:

NOTE that in the Run Agent action running the HW / SW inventory you must click on "check for update" after updating the design of ýour config database so as to deploy the code changes to your MC clients.
Also note that the HW / SW inventory agent will determine manufacturer, model and version even if neitherMC_AddonColGetHWDetails, nor MC_AddonColGetLogicalDriveInfo, nor MC_AddonColGetProductInfo are set;
the agent will determine these details every time it runs, even if it has nothing to do.

MarvelClient Upgrade

CHANGE / ENHANCEMENTMarvelClient Upgrade 2.7 is now available with several enhancements - the following list of changes and enhancements only contains the most important ones:
  • MarvelClient (MC) Upgrade now display subprogress for when many files are copied and/or removed
  • A new option allows to not delete notes.ini during upgrades (=for example when the installer shall pick up on the previous install directories based on the old notes.ini, rather than the mst file)
  • MC Upgrade now shows a system modal, movable dialog with three progress bars instead of just one (the header and dialog box title are customizable):

  • MC Upgrade now also allows to terminate a configurable set of services
