Note: Starting with v3.5 the Check for Online Update does not exist any longer. Reason for removing this functionality was, that the majority of GL Appliances do not have an outbound Internet connectivity.
v3.5.x Stream
The Administrator get an notification (after login) whenever a new version is available. Click on the Update Link and Download the the File.
Update Version "Perform manual update"
Open Menu - System Preferences and click on "Perform Manual Update ...".
Click OK and select the previous downloaded DEB file.
After few seconds you will see a progress bar
Your appliance will apply the update and restarts automatically after the installation is done.
v3.2.x Stream
In a scenario where the GreenLight appliance is not allowed to connect to the internet, GreenLight's Online Update feature will not be able to show notifications regarding new available versions.
You need to open the kbase Releases Notes manually to download the latest version
