Summary: In this video, COO Henning Kunz will show you three tools/use cases to open an iDNA Applications appliance:

  1. Open up a terminal session using PUTTY. With PUTTY, you can either access the machine via the host name or its IP address. You can also save the configuration and give it a name for future use.
  2. To transfer files from and to the appliance, we recommend using WinSCP. With it, you can transfer your files via its GUI: your local files are displayed on the left, while the files on the appliance are displayed on the right side. You can simply transfer the files from one side to another by drag and drop.
  3. To access the appliance's GUI, e.g. to add an additional disk or tweak the logical volumes on the appliance. To to this, you can either use realvnc, tightvnc or ultravnc. You will then open display port one, which will be translated into port 5901. This is the port we requested as a requirement to install the appliance.

Run only one instance of the VNC server at a time.
