As with previous versions of HCL Notes/Domino starting with version 10, MarvelClient is also included in V14.5:
And starting with Domino 12, your Domino server has MarvelClient Essentials activation built-in to the Domino Directory. Go to the new MarvelClient view in the Directory and activate MC Essentials on all your Notes 12 and higher clients by simply creating a few documents and flipping a switch in the Directory Profile. No client configuration required! See About MarvelClient and Notes/Domino >= V12 for details.
An overview of some of the more prominent changes; for more in-depth information consult the other sections further down, especially the detailed release notes.
HCL released the Windows 64-bit Notes client starting with version 12.0.2, and starting with Notes 14 your only choice for Notes clients on Windows is 64-bit. MarvelClient Essentials was bundled with that release, and the full MarvelClient binary was ready to work with 64-bit clients from day one. The Config and Analyze templates fully support 64-bit API calls, and MarvelClient 14.5 now also includes support for Relocator actions on 64-bit. For more information, please see MarvelClient Support for HCL Notes 64-Bit Windows Clients.
MarvelClient Roaming now supports roaming in situations where the IDVault server is clustered. The Notes client itself only checks the IDVault on the user's primary mail server during setup; if this server is down, it doesn't fail over to the mail server's cluster partner, it simply fails to download the ID. MarvelClient can help!
MarvelClient Support Helper and MCUpgrade now have options to help you clean up the old, unused versions of plugins and features in your HCL Notes client framework folder. These files start to pile up as you apply fixpacks and hotfixes to your client. When you remove them, you can potentially save space and make your client startup times faster.
These are changes that might require you to pay attention, and/or do something after updating to this version. |
You'll find all these in the detailed release notes as well.
MarvelClient versions older than 14 will not work on Notes 14.5, so make sure to update MarvelClient before upgrading Notes. MarvelClient 14.0.x versions should continue to work with Notes 14.5, but we encourage you to update to the latest version for the best compatibility.

Generally, we support most functionalities of the Manage, Migrate and Analyze modules (= MarvelClient Basic), as well as Automate. Some features will behave differently, and some functionalities are absent due to technical platform limitations:
