Digital experience monitoring for Microsoft 365

Your employees’ Microsoft 365 experience is shaped by dozens of invisible factors. TrueDEM makes every one of them visible, from their device to Microsoft’s cloud, so your IT team can act in minutes, not days.

What does TrueDEM do?

TrueDEM is a digital experience monitoring product by panagenda that gives IT teams real-time, end-to-end visibility into how employees experience Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams, from their device, local network, VPN, and corporate infrastructure all the way to Microsoft’s cloud.

Which side of the table are you on?

Most IT teams know something is wrong. TrueDEM shows them exactly what, where, and why.

Without TrueDEM With TrueDEM
Troubleshooting takes hours or days Potential cause found in minutes
Constant firefighting after complaints Proactive alerts before users notice
Fragmented data across multiple tools Single pane of glass, endpoint to cloud
Finger-pointing between teams Clear area-of-responsibility data
No visibility into home office setups Full visibility everywhere users work
TrueDEM replaces fragmented, reactive IT troubleshooting with proactive, end-to-end visibility across Microsoft 365, reducing resolution times from hours to minutes.

What is TrueDEM?

TrueDEM is a digital experience monitoring (DEM) product by panagenda that gives IT teams real-time, end-to-end visibility into how employees experience Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams, from their device, local Wi-Fi, VPN, and corporate network all the way through to Microsoft’s cloud services.

It combines endpoint telemetry collected by a lightweight agent for real-time call data with Microsoft’s cloud-side metrics (including Call Quality Dashboard data) in a single SaaS analytics platform.

TrueDEM is available in three editions: TrueDEM Advanced (the complete platform with full M365 monitoring and deep Teams call analytics), TrueDEM M365 (M365 experience monitoring without Teams call depth), and TrueDEM Site Monitoring (24/7 synthetic monitoring for site-level M365 availability).

Customer story

From 12 hours to 15 minutes

TrueDEM helped troubleshoot our Teams voice rollout. Users were frustrated with inconsistent performance and dropped calls. Over half of our calls were experiencing poor quality. Using TrueDEM we were able to spotlight major problems with network routing and hardware limitations."
IT Director, Unified Communications | U.S. Fortune 100 Financial Services Company

Across enterprise deployments, TrueDEM customers report up to 75% faster resolution times, 41% fewer poor-quality calls, and average troubleshooting reduced from 12 hours to just 15 minutes.

How does TrueDEM work?

A SaaS platform with lightweight endpoint components. Roll out the agent across your organization and gain visibility within days.

1

Roll out the agent and plugin
The TrueDEM Manager ships as a ready-to-deploy Intune package and MSI installer, compatible with any software deployment tool. The agent runs in user context, no admin rights needed. Supports Windows 10+, macOS, and VDI.

2

Collect real-time telemetry
The endpoint agent monitors device performance, network conditions, VPN, ISP quality, M365 responsiveness as well as real-time Teams call performance.

3

Act on insights
Dashboards spotlight issues by area of responsibility. Drill from org-wide trends to individual sessions. Alerts notify you before users notice.

What makes TrueDEM different?

Purpose-built for Microsoft 365. Not a generic tool with M365 bolted on.

True end-to-end visibility
From CPU and memory to Wi-Fi, VPN, corporate network, ISP, and Microsoft's cloud. Every layer covered.
Real-time when it matters
Monitor flagged users' calls live. The data is there when you need to look, not only after the damage is done.
Individual user context
Each user evaluated against their own baseline and the organization's current state, not arbitrary thresholds.
M365-specific depth
Service-level, app-level, and platform-level visibility. See which functionality is impacted on which platform.

Frequently asked questions

What Microsoft 365 apps does TrueDEM monitor?

TrueDEM monitors the full Microsoft 365 suite including Microsoft Teams (calls, meetings, and chat), Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Copilot, and other M365 services. It tracks performance at the service, application, platform, and functionality level, so you can see whether mail, calendaring, or presence is impacted, and on which platform (web, desktop, or mobile).

How is TrueDEM deployed?

TrueDEM is a SaaS solution. The TrueDEM Manager, deployable via Intune, SCCM, GPO, or any software deployment tool, handles installation of the lightweight endpoint agent (an MSIX Store App) that runs in user context without admin rights. TrueDEM supports Windows 10+, macOS, and VDI environments including Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop.

Does TrueDEM work for remote and hybrid workers?

Yes, and not just remote workers. TrueDEM’s strength is that it captures the full range of work locations: corporate office, home office, public Wi-Fi, and everything in between. The endpoint agent monitors from the user’s device regardless of location, providing visibility into local network conditions, corporate network, VPN, ISP performance, and device health. This means you get a consistent view across your entire workforce, not just the remote portion.

What are the differences between TrueDEM editions?

TrueDEM Advanced is the complete platform: full M365 experience monitoring plus deep Teams call analytics including real-time call monitoring, per-participant call quality data, device and network telemetry during calls, and detailed troubleshooting dashboards. TrueDEM M365 provides M365 experience monitoring with insights at the service, application, and platform level, without the deep Teams call analytics. TrueDEM Site Monitoring uses virtual users to perform synthetic transaction testing 24/7, verifying M365 availability and network performance at specific locations even when no real users are online.

How does TrueDEM compare to Microsoft's built-in monitoring tools?

Microsoft’s Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) and Call Analytics provide cloud-side metrics but present most data in aggregated form: averages across users, calls, and time periods. Making it nearly impossible to correlate actual causes to specific effects for individual users. They also lack visibility into what happens on the user’s device and local network, which is where most issues originate. TrueDEM collects per-user endpoint telemetry in real-time and combines it with Microsoft’s cloud data, giving a granular, individual-level picture that Microsoft’s aggregate tools cannot provide.
