Office 365 from a hacker’s perspective: real-life threats, tactics, and remedies

Office 365 environments are very attractive targets for attackers. So, it’s never been more important to understand how its security structure works, and how to best configure it. In this in-depth session, we’ll run through real-time attack scenarios and examine common attack vectors. And then we’ll explore the various defense capabilities of Office 365, the MS Graph API, and Azure AD. We’ll deep-dive into external sharing, authentication options, third-party application security (what apps should and shouldn’t be able to do), and even some do’s and don’ts regarding Azure AD endpoints and authorization mechanisms. You’ll walk away with a solid understanding of how to use the Office 365 defense tools at your disposal, such as the Attack Simulator and Threat Intelligence, as well as how they relate to real-world attacks.

We’ll dive deep into panagenda’s OfficeExpert solution to discover performance bottlenecks and how to tackle them with ease, and we’ll discuss Microsoft Teams usage, deployment and adoption measurements using both native data sources (such as Office365 usage reports and the Graph API) and OfficeExpert. You’ll walk away from this session with a clear understanding of Office365 performance monitoring best practices, and a firm grip on how to tackle usage analysis for Microsoft Teams.

What’s new in Microsoft Teams and the Microsoft365 landscape

In this closing session, we’ll look at Microsoft Teams – the strategic centre piece of Microsoft’s collaboration portfolio and the new features we’ve seen during the past few months, as well as additional features you can expect as a customer.
We’ll talk about our take on the direction of the Office365 portfolio with focus on Teams, Kaizala, SharePoint Online, Yammer, and Azure. We’ll dive deep into news and direction on back-end technologies such as Microsoft Graph, various APIs and tools for Administrators and Security and you’ll walk away with a clear understanding of what tools you have available for your business and what you can expect in the near future.
